
PEOPLES REDEMPTION PARTY (PRP)
NATIONAL SECRETARIAT CIRCULAR
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (NEC) OF THE PEOPLES REDEMPTION PARTY (PRP) FOR THE CONDUCT OF PRIMARIES ON 25TH OF MAY, 2026.
The National Executive Committee of the Party has considered and approved the following guidelines as the basis for the outcome of the screening exercise:
- An aspirant who has paid in full, has been cleared and has no opposition will be declared sole aspirant for affirmation by the congress (no contest).
- Any constituency where there are two or more cleared aspirants, only aspirants who paid in full will be allowed to contest.
- Any aspirant(s) who pays in part but is the sole aspirant in that Constituency, shall be allowed to participate in the primary election.
- Any aspirant(s) who pays in part and is contesting against other aspirant who paid in full, only the aspirant(s) who paid in full will be allowed to participate in primaries.
- Any constituency where there are two or more Aspirants and all the Aspirants in that constituency have not paid in full, all the aspirants will be allowed to participate in the process. However, the successful candidate shall not have his nomination filed with INEC until full payment to the Party.
- Only aspirants who are on the list released by the NEC with participate in the Congress.
- The guidelines shall be strictly applied by all Presiding/Returning Officers.
